I was more than impressed with the Hilton London Gatwick Hotel on numerous levels. The room contained a refrigerator that I was able to use (instead of just the mini-bar kind that you risk getting charged for items if you remove them). Most importantly, I had forgotten a sweatshirt very dear to me (and irreplaceable due to personalization and a one-time issue) in my early morning pre-flight haste in the dark. When I discovered my forgetfulness I contacted the hotel right away and they ensured me they would look for it. I corresponded with them via email and authorized payment on my credit card for the shipping costs and they quickly shipped it back to my home in the U.S. I am deeply grateful for this type of customer service above and beyond the call of duty and the efficient and friendly manner in which it was carried out. I find this type of service rare these days and want to recognize the staff there for their excellence. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is also very conveniently located near the rental car return and dinning facilities. There is a bus to the North terminal that doesn’t take long and there are plans for a tram in the future. I am very pleased with my experience.

The rooms where old and shavy, they need painting and upgrading,the bathtub had a leaking faucett, the refrigerator was as old as the hills, the only thing that was great was the beds there where very confortable..

The only hotel in the Gatwick London airport complex. I had a large quiet room in the new section with air conditioning that works! There was am ample supply of towels, etc., that"s hard to find in London. Travelers need over 2 hours to check in to a London airports!
